John and Justin Burda of Luxemburg have the lead after the opening day of the 24th annual Sturgeon Bay Open Bass Tournament. The Burda’s topped the leaderboard with 36.22 pounds. The team of John Allen and Scott Ourada are in 2nd place with a 34.62 pounds. The top 10 teams all weighed more than 30 pounds on opening day. Friday’s Big Bass was 8.29 pounds and was weighed by the team of Mark Fisher and Scott Bonnema. The two day tournament continues on Saturday with the weigh-in beginning at 3:30. The Kids Day activities, featuring blow up bouncers and plenty of free games, run from 10:30-1:30 at Sawyer Park in Sturgeon Bay.
