Freiherr Resigns as SB Football Coach

After three years as head football coach at Sturgeon Bay, Greg Freiherr has resigned.  The Clippers made the WIAA playoffs after the 2012 season and picked up a playoff win over then defending State Champion Wrightstown.  But the win over the Tigers would be the last for Sturgeon Bay as the Clippers currently have a 19 game losing streak.  We asked Coach Freiherr on what he will take from his coaching tenure in Sturgeon Bay….

Coach said he didn’t get a chance to tell the players about this decision in person because of the timing of a meeting held at Sturgeon Bay schools late Monday afternoon….

Sturgeon Bay went (0-7) in the final year of the Olympian/Packerland Large Conference and finished (0-9) overall.  Seven of the nine teams the Clippers played qualified for the WIAA playoffs.
