The Luxemburg-Casco boys golf team finsihed first at a WIAA Division 2 regional at Fox Valley Golf Club at Kaukauna Tuesday. The Spartans carded a team score of 358, 15 shots better than runner-up Sturgeon Bay. The Spartans and Clippers both advance to the sectional, which will be hosted by Freedom at Irish Waters Golf Course next week. Sturgeon Bay’s Larry Woldt (84) was the top individual finisher followed by Jared Dart (86) of Luxemburg-Casco and Adam Hauser (86) of Sturgeon Bay. Southern Door (412) finished ninth as a team.
Gibraltar won the Division 3 regional at Golden Sands at Cecil Tuesday. The Vikings had a team scored of 337, 54 shots better than second place Oconto. Gibraltar had four of the top five finishers. Matt Anderson (80) was second, Grant Heiman (83) was third, Sam Higginbotham (85) was fourth and Casey Michelic (89) was fifth. Logan Ferrie (91) of Gibraltar finished tied for seventh. Sevastopol advanced to sectionals, finishing third at 393. The Division 3 sectional will be hosted by Wabeno/Laona at McCauslin Brook Golf Course.
