Egg Harbor(10-1) rallied late on their way to topping West Jacksonport(6-5) 7-2 in a game that started an hour late because of wet field conditions Sunday afternoon. The Ports struck first with a pair of runs in the 6th inning, but the Indians would send ten batters to the plate in the top of the 8th inning, scoring 6 runs. Egg Harbor added an insurance run in the 9th. Riley Spetz(2-0) got the win in relief of Dave Jilot who went the first 6 innings, Woody Schartner(1-1) came on in the 7th in relief of Drew Tanck and took the loss. Riley Spetz had 3 hits, & Casey Giesseman & Corey Fuller added 2 hits each for Egg Harbor. West Jacksonport was led by Woody Schartner & Alec Schartner with 2 hits each.
On Washington Island, the Islanders(2-7) pulled away from Maplewood(4-7) to win 5-3. Maplewood scored a run in the 2nd inning, but the Islanders answered with 3 of their own in the 3rd on a 3 run home run by Craig Gunnlaugsson. Maplewood battled back to tie the game in the 4th but Washington Island added runs in the 4th and 7th to pull away. Wil Henriksen(2-4) took the win and Troy Jorgenson(1) earned the save for the Islanders. Kyle Ploor(1-6) took the loss for the Mets. Ben Geiger had 3 hits, Caleb Cornell & Craig Gunnlaugsson added 2 hits each for the Islanders, Gunnlaugsson had 4 RBI. Chad Laluzerne had 3 hits and Kordell Draves had 2 for Maplewood.
Sister Bay(7-2) at Kolberg(7-2) was postponed due to rain and wet field conditions.
On Friday night Institute(3-6) beat Baileys Harbor(0-10) 4-3. After trailing all game, the Cubs scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game and the game ended on a bases loaded hit by pitch in the bottom of the 10th. Kyle Volkman(2-4) went the distance striking out 18 for Institute, Brett Anschutz(0-1) took the loss in relief of Amadee Savard. Volkman had 2 hits for the Cubs, Lucky Stephenson, Derek Niedzwiecki & Chad Kodanko all had 2 hits for Baileys Harbor.
