Eagles Win on Claflin Free Throw

Southern Door rallied from a 5 point deficit in the final three minutes to pick up a hard fought, 64-63, win over Oconto in Brussels on Tuesday Night.   The Eagles (3-0, 4-1) tied the game at 60-60 on a Sam Gerend steal and basket with 1:39 to play and the Blue Devils went back in front when Carson Moe made a free throw with :36 seconds remaining.  A three point play by Ryan Claflin gave Southern Door a 63-61 lead with :20 seconds to play but Moe answered quickly and tied the game at 63-63 setting the stage for the game ending heroics.  The Eagles took a timeout with 10.7 seconds remaining and ran a play for Claflin, who made a free throw with 0.7 seconds to play to clinch the win.  Kyle Daoust scored 19 to lead the Eagles while Claflin added 14 and Max Pierre 13.  Issac Woller led the Blue Devils (2-1, 3-2) with 19 points while Moe and Connor Ebben added 14 each.
