Eagles Stay in First Place Tie

Southern Door beat Sturgeon Bay, 60-41, in a boys Packerland Conference basketball game at Sturgeon Bay on Friday Night.  The Eagles (10-2, 16-4) led by 10 or more points for almost the entire second half in beating the Clippers (6-6, 9-11) for the second time this season.  Mitchell Gerend scored a game high 20 points for the Eagles while Nick LeCaptain added 18 and Trevor Hawkey 14 while Sturgeon Bay was led by Connor Gajda, Mitchell Jackson and Ryan Jackson with 9 points each. Southern Door remains in a tie for first place with Algoma with two games to play.
