Southern Door needed overtime to beat Gibraltar, 54-51, in a girls Packerland Conference basketball game on Friday Night. The Eagles (4-1, 6-1) took a 36-26 lead in the third quarter thanks to back-to-back three pointers from Bailey Hanson only to see the Vikings (3-2, 7-2) battle back and tie the game at 46-46 on a Makenna Ash basket with :48 seconds to play in regulation. But the Eagles would get the first two baskets in overtime with freshman Meghan LaCrosse and Gabby Atkins scoring in the paint and Southern Door would never trail again. Alexa Soto (13 points in the first half) and Gabby Atkins (9 points in 4th quarter/overtime) led Southern Door with 17 points each while Bailey Hanson added 11. Makenna Ash scored a game high 22 points for the Vikings, Lauren Kita added 10 points.
