Eagles Rally Past Vikings

The Southern Door baseball team scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat Gibraltar/Washington Island, 5-4, on Tuesday. Vikings starter Luke Steebs had retired the first 12 batters he faced before Devin Schinktgen led off the 5th inning with a double and scored on a Charlie Neinas RBI single to make it 2-1. Trailing 3-1 in the 6th, the Eagles (2-0) rally included RBI singles from Christian Counard, Logan Jeanquart and Neinas and an RBI fielders choice from Jaden Diller. Alex Daoust (2IP) picked up the win in relief of Diller (5IP/2 runs/5 hits/5K) for the Eagles while the Vikings were led by Alex Laughlin (RBI double) and Steebs (2 hits).
