Eagles rally past Storm

Southern Door scored all their runs in the last two innings to beat Kewaunee, 10-3, in a Packerland Conference softball game on Thursday. The Storm scored three runs in the top of the 5th but the Eagles answered with three of their own in the bottom of the inning as Callie Miller hit a two run single. The Eagles erupted with 7 runs on 8 hits in the 6th to put the game away. Sophia Counard (3 RBI) Ashlyn Delfosse and Bella Price all had 2 hits and Colbi Jacquet had 2 RBI’s for Southern Door. Delfosse pitched the first five innings while Chloe Lustila pitched the final two innings for the win. Hanna Morton had 2 hits and Taylor Schleis had a 2 run single for Kewaunee.

Sturgeon Bay won the Packerland Conference golf meet at Peninsula Golf Course on Thursday. The Clippers shot 177 followed by Peshtigo (181) Southern Door (184) and Oconto (192). Grant Bauman of Peshtigo took top honors with a 39.
