Eagles Move Into a Tie For First

Southern Door beat Gibraltar, 89-52, in a boys Packerland Conference basketball game on Friday in Brussels.  The Eagles pulled away from a 21-18 and finished the half on a 29-10 run as the lead stretched to 50-28.  Mitch Gerend scored a game high 24 points to lead Southern Door while Nick LeCaptain added 21, Sam Gerend 14 and Trevor Hawkey 11.  Tyler Kropuenske led the Vikings with 12 points while Anthony Laughlin chipped in 10.  The defending champion Eagles are now tied for the conference lead after Algoma lost at Oconto.
