Southern Door beat Algoma, 53-43, in a girls Packerland Conference basketball game on Tuesday Night. It’s the first time that the Eagles (3-1, 4-2) have beaten the Wolves (2-2, 2-5) since February 22, 2008. Algoma had a five point lead late in the first half but Southern Door took a 24-23 lead to the locker room. Meghan LaCrosse finished with a game high 18 points as the Eagles dominated the offensive glass, Grace LeGrave added 10 points while Gabby Atkins and Megan Pavlik finished with 8 each. Algoma was led by Mikayla Haack (15) and Alli Spitzer (12).
