Eagles Beat Kewaunee

Southern Door rallied for 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to beat Kewaunee, 6-2, in a Packerland Conference softball game on Monday.  The Storm scored 2 runs on 4 hits in the top of the first inning but were shutout the rest of the way as winning pitcher Hannah Mallien retired the final 15 batters in the game.  Down 2-0 in the 6th, Kelsey Pavlik drew a lead off walk and Gabby Atkins followed with base hit and the Eagles would eventually load the bases before Hailey Geyer smacked a bases clearing double to give Southern Door the lead.  Mallien, Sam Renard and Alyssa Dantoin followed with RBI base hits before the inning came to an end.  Renard had two hits to lead Southern Door while Brooke Geier and Ellie Olson singled and scored in the first inning for Kewaunee.  Olson struck out 9 in the loss.
