Egg Harbor blanked Washington Island 5-0 Sunday in the two teams regular season finale. Matt Ash homered twice for Egg Harbor (13-1). Jake Junion also homered. He and Jason Fuller had three hits in the win. Riley Spetz (12-0) went the first five innings for the win. Matt Foss had two of the four hits collected by Washington Island (6-8). Troy Jorgenson (3-3) took the loss.
Kolberg beat Institute, 14-4. Kolberg (10-4) scored ten unanswered runs to break open a one-run game and set up a one game playoff with Sister Bay for second place. Jeff Sperber hit a two-run homer. He had four hits and drove in five to lead the Braves. Sperber (6-0) also pitched the first five for the win. Kirk Wilke had three hits and Cody Giesseman hit a two-run homer for Institute (4-10). Jason Annis had two hits in what was his final game with the Cubs. Kyle Volkman (3-5) took the loss.
Sister Bay pounded Baileys Harbor, 11-1. Stuart Larsen had four hits to lead Sister Bay (10-4). Both Stuart and his brother James Larsen and Justin Hartel all homered and Adam Biwer and Tucker Emerson each had three hits. Will Henricksen (5-1) went all nine for the win. He gave up one run on five hits. Nick Kita staked Baileys Harbor (4-10) to a 1-0 lead with a first inning homer. Kita (0-1) took the loss.
West Jacksonport beat Maplewood, 13-5. Woody Schartner had four hits, including a pair of homers. Ryan Tanck also homered and Mike Stoneman had four hits to lead West Jacksonport (7-7). Schartner (5-5) pitched the first eight for the win. Adam Schubert had two hits to lead Maplewood (2-12). Alan Karas (0-2) took the loss.
