The best day of skiing this year was probably on Monday but the warm temperatures subsequently destroyed the good trails we had in Sturgeon Bay. Unfortunately the Ski The Door event scheduled for this upcoming weekend has been cancelled due to poor trail conditions. Here are the current trail groomers reports:
Potawatomi State Park: Trails as of Wednesday were in poor condition but still skiable. Trails were groomed on Monday and the track set. This was a great effort by the volunteers but unfortunately the unusual conditions have deteriorated the surface.
Whitefish Dunes State Park: Skiing is not recommended at this time.
Peninsula State Park: There is no skiing at this time.
