After 20 years in the program and 15 years as head coach, Pat Delcore has decided that now is the time to resign as softball coach at Southern Door. Delcore’s resignation was accepted by the Southern Door school board on Monday, and today said that health concerns were the reason….
The Eagles have had plenty of success under Delcore, advacing to the State Championships in Madison twice to go along with 8 regional championships and multiple Packerland Conference titles….
Southern Door lost in the state semi-finals to New Berlin Eisenhower in 2008 and state title game to Union Grove in 2007. The Eagles will need to name a new coach soon as their first game is scheduled against defending league champion Oconto on March 29.
