Daoust, Eagles Continue Winning Ways

Drew Daoust reached a major scoring milestone as Southern Door won at Algoma Thursday night, 66-45. Daoust finished with 35 points and in the process joined the 2,000 point club. It is an exclusive club that the Eagles junior guard has joined. At the start of this season, there were only 51 boys in the history of Wisconsin high school basketball to score 2,000 points. Southern Door (12-0 Packerland / 16-4 overall) jumped out to a 13-2 lead which grew to 22-3 with 6:37 to play in the opening half. The Eagles were up 20 at halftime as they won their eleventh straight and their 26th consecutive Packerland contest. Matthew Malvitz added 12 points for Southern Door. Parker Lischka scored 19 points to lead Algoma (7-6 / 10-9).
