Sturgeon Bay’s Matt Curtin had 11 catches for 190 yards and a school record 4 touchdown receptions in Michigan Tech’s 51-43 loss to Grand Valley State in Houghton, Michigan on Saturday. The 22-ranked Huskies (3-1) trailed 51-14 with 3:51 to play in the third quarter before their furious comeback fell short.
Gibraltar’s Tom Sawyer rushed for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns as Ripon beat Knox College 42-17 for their first win of the season in Ripon on Saturday. Sawyer added 84 yards passing in the win for the Red Hawks (1-4).
