The Sturgeon Bay and Gibraltar/Washington Island baseball team continue WIAA tournament play with sectional semi-final games early Tuesday afternoon.
Division 3
Sturgeon Bay (20-7) vs Winnebago Lutheran Academy (14-6) at Random Lake. Clippers have regional wins over Mishicot and Valders after earning a share of the Packerland Conference championship. The Vikings have allowed just one run in postseason wins over Horicon, Lomira and Hustisford/Dodgeland. WLA finished in third place in the Flyway Conference. This is first sectional appearance since 2013 for Sturgeon Bay, first since 2011 for WLA since winning state title in 2011. Our coverage begins with the Jorns Chevrolet of Kewaunee pregame show on AM910 / wdor.com with first pitch scheduled for 12:30. The winner will play either Ozaukee or Brookfield Academy at 6:30.
Division 4
Gibraltar/Washington Island (11-12) vs Niagara (9-8) at Crivitz. The Vikings won the regional for the second year in a row and have wins over NEW Lutheran and Crivitz in the tournament after finishing 6th in the 9 team Packerland Conference. The Badgers placed 4th out of six teams in the M&O Conference and have beaten Elcho, Wausaukee and Laona/Wabeno is regionals. Our coverage begins with the Jorns Chevrolet of Kewaunee pregame show on 93.9FM with first pitch at 1:30. The winner will play either Athens or Greenwood at 4:00.
