Clippers Use Big Inning To Get Past Pioneers

The Sturgeon Bay softball team scored seven times in the third inning as they beat Sevastopol Thursday at PBI Field, 8-1.  Up 1-nothing, the Clippers sent eleven batters to the plate in the third scoring all seven runs with two outs.  Gracee Abeyta had a two-run single in that inning while Melissa Moxon added an RBI double and Ashley Sternard and Morgan Nelson had run scoring base hits.  Moxon had two doubles and Nelson added a pair of singles.  Nelson allowed a run on six hits in seven innings and picked up the win.  Grace Brauer and Aly Differt each had two hits for Sevastopol.
