The Sturgeon Bay boys avenged a regular season loss to Two Rivers as the Clippers beat the Raiders in a WIAA Division 3 Regional Tuesday night, 65-53. Down 27-17, the Clippers were able to cut the deficit down to six at halftime. In the second half, Sturgeon Bay doubled up Two Rivers 36-18 as the Clippers defense held the Raiders to just six field goals. Despite foul trouble, Carson Talbert scored a game-high 24 points and his three with Sturgeon Bay down 10 in the first half gave the Clippers a much needed spark. Jared Van Bramer finished with 17 points and Mitchell Jackson added 13. Sturgeon Bay (14-9) will play at Southern Door (18-4) in a regional semifinal Friday night on 93.9 FM WDOR and wdor.com. Two Rivers (6-17) was led by Isaac Coronado’s 12 points while Casey Henrickson added 10.
