Clippers Rally Again

The Sturgeon Bay baseball team rallied to win for the fifth time in the last six games, this time earning a 5-2 8 inning win over Gibraltar at Billerbeck Field in Fish Creek on Tuesday.  The Clippers (9-0) tied the game  in the top of the 7th inning when Joseph Omilinsky drove in Ben Felhofer with an RBI single to right centerfield.  Sturgeon Bay scored the winning runs in the 8th when Christian Foss hit a bases clearing double that scored Casey Giesseman, Keith Lehman and Riley Schartner.  Riley Cordier struck out 13 in the win while Giesseman had three hits and Omilinsky added two.  Matt Hecht had an RBI single and struck out 9 in the loss for the Vikings (5-3).

Southern Door beat NEW Lutheran 14-4.

Softball

The Clipper softball team also rallied to win on Tuesday.  With Gibraltar holding an 8-3 lead at PBI Field in Sturgeon Bay, the Clippers rallied to win when Paige Kramer hit a walkoff two run home run.  It was her second home run of the game.

Southern Door beat NEW Lutheran 28-0.
