The Sturgeon Bay girls basketball team dropped their Packerland Conference opener as they lost at home to Oconto Thursday night, 56-24. The Clippers (0-1 / 0-2) trailed 31-14 at halftime and were outscored 25-10 in the second half. Aly Bailey scored seven points to lead Sturgeon Bay, who made just five field goals while hitting 14 of 21 free throws. Oconto (1-0 / 2-0) had ten players score, led by Mara Allen and Jasey Jicha, who scored 13 and 12 points respectively.
