Clippers Earn First Win

Sturgeon Bay beat Sevastopol, 47-34, in a girls Packerland Conference basketball game on Thursday Night in Sturgeon Bay.  The Clippers (1-5, 1-7) built a 24-8 lead early in the second half only to see the Pioneers (0-5, 3-7) close to within 28-27 with less than 10:00 minutes to play.  But Andie Rockendorf scored a pair of baskets for Sturgeon Bay as the Clippers went on an eventual 16-3 run to put the game out of reach.  Sara Bridenhagen finished with a game high 14 points while Rockendorf added 11 and Brenna Zuehlke chipped in with 9 points.  The Pioneers were led by Amber Roalkvan and Lexie LeClair, who scored 13 and 9 points respectively.
