Clippers Cruise Past Vikings

The Sturgeon Bay softball team won their 5th straight Packerland Conference game, 11-1, over Gibraltar in Fish Creek on Thursday.  The Clippers would get all the runs they would need in the second inning with a two out, four run rally as Andie Rockendorf, Rachel Miller and Gracee Abeyta all drove in runs and Sturgeon Bay would add five more runs in the third inning to put the game out of reach.  Miller finished with four hits and 4 RBI’s for the Clippers while Abeyta (3 RBI), Sam Mirkes and Ashley Sternard all had two hits each.  Hailey Benesh pitched a two hitter for the win.  Danielle Johnson doubled home Lauren Kita for the Vikings only run.
