The Sturgeon Bay baseball team beat Gibraltar, 10-2, in a Packerland Conference game at Billerbeck Field in Fish Creek on Friday and clinched a share of the league title. The Clippers set the tone early as they scored eight runs on 11 hits in the first three innings. Jared Van Bramer and Isaac Berkley combined to pitch the victory for Sturgeon Bay. Anthony Moore (3 runs scored) Mitchell Jackson, Ryan Jacobson (3 RBI) Jaeger Brusky and Trent Ehlers (3 RBI) all had two hits in the win. Ben Johnson, Luke Steebs and Alex Laughlin had two hits for the Vikings but Gibraltar left the bases loaded 5 times and stranded 15 runners in the game. Sturgeon Bay (7-1) shares the league title with Peshtigo (7-1).
Gibraltar will play a doubleheader vs Lourdes at Oshkosh North on Saturday while Sturgeon Bay will play Wild Rose and Rosholt at Wild Rose.
