Clippers Beat Pioneers

Sturgeon Bay was a 2-1 winner over Sevastopol/Gibraltar in a soccer match played at Dick Clark Field on Thursday. Shambo Wienke scored the only goal of the first half (Alexis Olson assist) and the Clippers added to their lead in the 77th minute on a Paula Weinke penalty kick. Sam Herrell scored in the 77th minute (Eve Andreae assist) to complete the scoring. Yarrow Goettelman had 6 saves for the Clippers.

Sturgeon Bay won the first Packerland Conference Meet on Thursday. The top 5 individuals were Grant Bauman (Peshtigo) Finley LaVine (Southern Door) Isaak Aune (Sturgeon Bay) Tre Weinke (Sturgeon Bay) Finn Salm (Gibraltar).

Track and Field
The Kewaunee boys and Peshtigo girls won the Packerland Conference Meet at Kewaunee. Individual winners for the Clippers were Andrea Wilke (Pole Vault) Jade Tomberlin (High Jump) and Patrick Haese (100). The boys 800 relay team of Chase Hasenjager, Kordell Anderson, Haese and Craven Lautenbach took first along with the girls 400 relay team of Cate Anderson, Ella Tarkowski, Cady Carlson and Tivianna Andropolis
