Clippers and Eagles Monday

Sturgeon Bay will play at Southern Door in a boys Packerland Conference basketball game tonight. The Clippers (3-3, 5-4) are led in scoring by Carson Talbert (19.1) Mitchell Jackson (14.6) and Jake Schneider (10.8) while the Eagles (5-0, 8-2) are led by Kyle Daoust (22.1) Ryan Claflin (16.2) and Derik LeCaptain (15.4). Wrestling
Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol finished 6th at the Manawa Invitational. Jeremy Jorns placed 1st, Peyton Hurth and Nick West were second, Ben DeNamaur and David Condra fourth and Traverse Wilke was fifth.

Southern Door finished 12th at the Rocket Scramble hosted by Cedar Grove/Belgium. Griffin Slezewski placed second, Grant Englebert fifth and Austin Falish was sixth.

Swimming
The Sturgeon Bay co-op swim team competed in the Raider Relays at Sheboygan North. The 200 breaststroke relay team of Jacob Norton, Ethan Almstadt, Drew Rass and Brock Aune placed first with a time of 2:02.43. The 200 medley team of Luke Bousley, Norton, Almstadt and Aune were third as was the 200 Butterfly team of James Pollock, Bousley, Aune and Almstadt. The 200 Backstroke team of Jace Johnson, Pollock, Rass and Norton placed 4th while the 200 Free Relay team of Bousley, Johnson, Rass and Pollock were 5th. The Clippers finished in 4th place in the team standings.
