Northern Door beat Wrightstown on Thursday afternoon but then lost to Valders on Thursday Night and were eliminated from the Class ‘A’ Legion regional at Denmark while Ahnapee lost their opening game at the Class ‘AA’ Regional hosted by Kewaunee County.
The Chiefs scored a walk off win over the Rockets with two runs in the bottom of the 7th inning in a 3-2 win. Jaden Sawyer started the rally by drawing a two out walk, Ethan Kroll followed with an RBI double and Jim McInerney scored Kroll with the game winning RBI double. Quin Schram went the distance for the win. Valders knocked the Chiefs out of the tournament as they scored five runs in the top of the first inning on their way to an 11-1 final. Sawyer scored the only run of the game for the Chiefs, Joe Burlo doubled and Kroll, McInerney and Zach Christianson all singled. Northern Door ended the season with (3-10) record.
Seymour beat Ahnapee 4-3 as the Trailblazers left the bases loaded in the 6th and 7th inning. Ahnapee took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning as Kody Kissinger and Beau Schartner drove in runs but Seymour tied the game in the 4th and went ahead for good in the 5th inning. Schartner and Jeffery Alberts had two hits and Austin Lardinois had and RBI.
