The Sturgeon Bay 12 year olds went 1-1 on Day 1 in Marinette. Sturgeon Bay beat Marinette 13-3 in 5 innings to start the day. Brandon Krause was the winning pitcher. Casey Weddig & Collin Mirkes had 3 hits each, while Nick LeCaptain and Isaiah Spetz each had two hits including a home run. Sturgeon Bay would lose to West Middleton in the afternoon 8-4. Isaiah Spetz and Andy Lucas finished with two hits. Sturgeon Bay will play Escanaba at 10:30 Thursday morning in Marinette.
The Sturgeon Bay 11’s lost their first game to Green Bay, 7-0 in Neenah on Wednesday. Bo Johnson pitched 3 scoreless innings and added two hits for Sturgeon Bay. Green Bay scored 6 runs in the 4th inning. Sturgeon Bay will play Escanaba at 4:00 Thursday afternoon in Neenah.
The Sturgeon Bay 10’s won their first game, beating Marinette 5-1 in Darlington. Mitchell Jackson pitched 5 scoreless innings and Ryan Jacobson doubled and tripled. Sturgeon Bay will continue pool play vs Sauk Prairie at 10:30 and Darlington at 8:00pm Thursday.
