Bordeau, Schneider Power Clippers

Sturgeon Bay rallied from an early 3-0 deficit and cruised past Southern Door, 15-3, in Brussels on Saturday. Max Bordeau put the Clippers on the board with a two run blast in the third inning and added another in the sixth inning. Trent Ehlers, Ryan Jacobson and Jake Schneider added two hits each for Sturgeon Bay. The Eagles scored three runs in the first off of Schneider as Tyler Kroll had an RBI single and Aiden Vandertie added a two run single but Schneider settled down and retired the final 15 batters he faced.

Friday
Sturgeon Bay swept Algoma (15-1, 2-0) as Mitchell Jackson pitched game 1 and Isaac Berkley was the winner in game 2. Reece Nellis, Berkley, Jackson and Schneider all had multiple hits and Bordeau homered in the opener. Berkley had an RBI triple in the second game as Bryce Duerst pitched a two hitter for the Wolves.

Peshtigo beat Southern Door, 3-2, in 8 innings as Logan Jeanquart drove in both runs for the Eagles and Tyler Kroll went the distance on the mound.

Saturday
Sturgeon Bay went (2-1) at Roncalli. The Clippers beat Roncalli, 13-3, behind 4 hits from Sarah Bridenhagen, 3 from Gracee Abeyta and 2 from Katie Frank. SB also beat Kiel, 16-1, as Melissa Moxon had 3 hits and Autumn Hacht, Koko Hartzell, Jaiden Adams, Bridenhagen, Frank and Abeyta all had two hits. Erin Haese was the winning pitcher in both games. The Clippers lost to Saint Mary Springs, 3-1.
