Oconto took sole possession of first place in the Packerland Conference baseball standings after a 4-1 win over Gibraltar at Billerbeck Field in Fish Creek on Monday. The Blue Devils (8-0) took the lead for good in the top of the fifth inning on a RBI single by Parker Anderson that scored courtesy runner Jamyson Sotka and added another run on a RBI single from Brady Bostedt. Anderson led Oconto with 2 hits and Grant Fraser (8K) went the distance for the win. Casey Weddig drove in the Vikings (5-1) only run with a RBI groundout that scored Conner Brennan. Bubba Laughlin struck out ten but walked seven and took the loss for Gibraltar.
