Blizel, Curtin Have Big Games

Southern Door’s Michael Blizel helped the University of Wisconsin – Stout football team beat the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point Saturday, 31-14.  The senior quarterback had 68 yards rushing and three touchdowns.  Blizel completed 20 of 34 passes for 210 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown pass.

Sturgeon Bay’s Matt Curtin caught seven passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns as Michigan Tech beat Northern Michigan Saturday, 41-17.  Curtin had scoring catches of 43, 62 and 14 yards as the Huskies won the Miner’s Cup for a third year in a row.  The last two games, Curtin has caught 18 passes for 361 yards and seven touchdowns.
