Blazers Hold Off Clippers

NEW Lutheran remained in a tie at the top of the conference, holding off a late Sturgeon Bay rally to win, 81-77, in Green Bay. The Blazers finished the first half on a 18-5 run and eventually led 70-54 in the second half. The Clippers made it 79-77 but Elijah Meerstein made a pair of free throws with six seconds left to clinch the win. The Blazers (8-1, 13-2) were led by Tristan Lynch (21) Lucas Dhein (14) Henry Huguet (13) and Meerstein finished with 12. The Clippers (3-6, 3-11) made 11 three pointers and were led by Isaak Aune with 22, Danny Lodl added 19 and Preston Newton 18.
