The NEW Lutheran boys basketball team beat Sturgeon Bay, 67-57, in the Packerland Conference opener for both teams on Thursday. The Blazers opened 45-25 lead in the second half but the Clippers closed to within 47-36 with 9:20 to play but could get no closer. Tristan Lynch finished with a game high 29 points, Lucas Dhein added 12 as the Blazers made 12 three pointers. The Clippers were led by Preston Newton with 17 and Isaak Aune added 13.
