Big Inning Sparks Clippers

Sturgeon Bay beat Southern Door, 17-5, in a Packerland Conference baseball game on Tuesday at Memorial Field.  The Eagles took a 5-4 lead to the bottom of the second inning but the Clippers answered with an 11 run inning and never threatened again.  Mitchell Jackson pitched all five innings for the win for Sturgeon Bay.  Tanner DeGrave, Andrew Carbajal and Jackson all had two hits in the win while Trent Ehlers doubled and had 4 RBI’s and Isaac Berkley finished with 3 RBI’s and two runs scored.  Adam Gutschow (3 RBI) singled and doubled for Southern Door, Tyler Kroll had two hits and Devin Schingkton and Gavin Miller added RBI’s.
