Sturgeon Bay took sole possession of first in place in the Packerland Conference after a 6-2 win over Southern Door at Memorial Field on Tuesday. The Clippers (3-0) put four runs on the board in the first inning as Trent Ehlers and Max Bordeau had RBI singles. The Eagles (3-1) scored two unearned runs in the 4th as Tyler Kroll and Devin Schinktgen scored to make it a 4-2 game. But the Clippers would get two out RBI singles in the 5th and 6th innings from Hunter Moore and Isaac Berkley to put the game out of reach. Ehlers pitched 5.2 innings for the win and struck out 11 while Berkley, Ehlers and Mitchell Jackson all had two hits in the win. Tyler Kroll had two hits to lead the Eagles while Derik LeCaptain struck out 8 in 6 innings of relief.
