The Sturgeon Bay American Legion Baseball team beat Waupaca Wednesday night at Memorial Field, 9-5. The Bays scored four times in the fifth to take a 7-5 lead and Sturgeon Bay would tack on two more runs in the sixth inning for their final margin of victory. Lindeman finished with two hits and drove in five runs. Giesseman also had a pair of hits and he drove in four. Riley Cordier added a double. Ryan Nelson got the start and went the first four and a third. He allowed three runs on two hits. Keith Lehman relieved Nelson and pitched the final two and two-thirds. Lehman picked up the win as he allowed two runs on five hits. Sturgeon Bay (5-3) will play a league doubleheader Saturday at Freedom. Game one begins at 1:30.
