The Sturgeon Bay legion baseball team will open play at the Class AA State Tournament at Mary Rountree Field in Baraboo this afternoon. It’s the third straight State Tournament appearance for the Bays. Sturgeon Bay will play River Falls at 1:30. River Falls, who eliminated Sturgeon Bay last year, finished runner-up to State Champion Beaver Dam last summer. Sturgeon Bay beat Kewaunee County and Pulaski to win their regional last weekend while River Falls beat Menominee and Rice Lake to advance.
