River Falls scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and went on to beat Sturgeon Bay 9-2 at the Class AA Legion State Tournament at Mary Rountree Evans Field in Baraboo on Friday. Down 3-0 in the top of the 3rd inning, the Bays threatened by loading the bases with nobody out but River Falls escaped and went on to the win. Austin Rohe had 2 hits to lead Sturgeon Bay- Rohe, Jared Lindemann and Riley Cordier all doubled while David Van Dreese and Keith Lehmann had RBI’s. Five different players had 2 hits for River Falls with James Witt pitching the complete game win.
