Badgers Hit The Road

The Wisconsin football team (1-0) will play at Oregon State (0-0) Saturday afternoon.  The Badgers won their season opener a week ago, beating Northern Iowa, 26-21 at Camp Randall Stadium.  Running back Montee Ball had 32 carries for 129 yards and a touchdown, as the Badgers gained 387 total yards in the victory.  Still, Ball wants to see improvement out of the Wisconsin offense…

While Wisconsin played a game last week, the same can not be said for Oregon State.  The Beavers opener with Nicholls State was postponed, as the Colonels were stuck in Louisiana due to Hurricane Isaac.  That means that the Badgers and head coach Bret Bielema had no current tape to work off of…

Notes:
Wisconsin fell one spot in both the AP and Coaches Polls this week.  The Badgers are ranked 13th in both.  Oregon State is unranked.

Wisconsin is 2-0 all-time against Oregon State.  The Badgers have won five straight against Pac-12 opponents, including a 9-7 win at Arizona in 2004 (UW’s last road game against a Pac-12 team).

Under head coach Bret Bielema, Wisconsin has won its last 25 regular season games against non-conference opponents.
