Algoma Opens Conference Play With Win

The Algoma boys basketball team opened Packerland Conference play with an 80-53 win over Sevastopol at Fulwiler Fieldhouse Tuesday night.  The Wolves (1-0 Packerland / 1-1 overall) built a double digit lead by using a full-court, pressure defense to force the Pioneers (0-1 / 0-2) into numerous first half turnovers.  Algoma had five players in double figures as Alex Dellis scored 22 points, Jake Lifto added 13 and Casey Stangel and Caleb Lohenry each added 12 points.  Matt Newman led Sevastopol with 19 points.

Wrightstown beat Luxemburg-Casco, 75-50
