The Algoma boys basketball team held off a second half rally by Sturgeon Bay, for a 46-40 Packerland Conference win Tuesday night. The Wolves (2-0 / 2-1) outscored the Clippers (0-1 / 0-2) 16-5 in the second quarter to open up a 27-16 halftime lead. However, Sturgeon Bay rallied in the second half and cut the deficit to five after three quarters and down to three in the fourth. The Wolves hit three free throws in the final eleven seconds to lock up the victory. Hunter Prokash scored a game-high 14 points for Algoma, while Sam Koss added 12 points and Devin Kostichka chipped in 10. Trey Bumgardner scored 11 points to lead Sturgeon Bay.
