Ahnapee won their third straight Fox River Valley East Division game on Thursday as they beat Gibraltar Legion, 6-1, at Billerbeck Field. Jeffrey Alberts went the distance for the victory and retired the final seven batters he faced and 12 of the last 13 of the game. Gibraltar scored their only run of the game in the first inning on an RBI single from Connor Brennan that scored Casey Weddig. The Trailblazers tied the game in the top of the fourth on an RBI sacrifice fly from Kordell Draves and took the lead in the sixth on an RBI double from Draves and two run double from Zach Marchant. Anthony Moore had three hits to lead Ahnapee (7-3) while Weddig and Brennan had two hits each for Gibraltar (0-2). The Trailblazers play the Green Bay Blue Jays at Johannes Park on Friday Night (5:30).
