The Sturgeon Bay Cal Ripken league All-Stars went (2-1) in pool play at the Ohio Valley Regional in Logansport, Indiana. On Friday morning they beat Bunker Hilll, Indiana 9-0 as Luke Steebs went the distance for the win. Steebs added three hits and Alex Laughlin hit a pair of home runs. Tournament officials selected Laughlin as the player of the game. South Lexington, Kentucky beat Door County 10-0 on Friday afternoon as they were held without a hit.
Door County received the #4 seed and a first round bye. Their first game will be against the winner of the Owensboro/Davies County, Kentucky vs Scott County, Kentucky game at 1:00pm.
