YMCA’s “Youth In Government” Next Month

YMCALogo-Green_157x120The YMCA’s “Youth In Government” program is helping students across the nation gain a better understanding of their government structure and, in the process, learn a little about themselves. The program, established in 1936, operates in 36 states and the District of Colombia. Natwick says the students will be joining their peers throughout the state in Madison February 20th through the 22nd for the model government weekend…

For the upcoming model government weekend, the Door County contingent includes Izzy Hitzman who has been elected Lieutenant Governor and Mary Barlas, who will serve as Secretary of State. In addition, Jenna Seiler has begun her 2016 campaign to succeed Hitzman as Lieutenant Governor.
