Storms that blew through the service area of Wisconsin Public Service Corporation affected as many as 16,000 customers Tuesday morning. Most of the outages were found in the Merrill area or near Marinette. There were 6 or 7 power outages, affecting more than 100 WPS customers, reported in Door County. High winds and lightning were to blame for most of the electrical service disruptions.
