On Sunday at 12:02AM, the Door County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one vehicle crash which occurred on Maplewood Road in the Town of Forestville.
The crash scene involved a vehicle westbound on Maplewood Road going off the road striking a driveway embankment and a tree.
The operator and lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was a 23 year old Katie Kruger of the Town of Clay Banks.
Also responding to the scene was the Southern Door Fire Department, Southern Door First Responders and Door County EMS.
The crash is still under investigation and more details will be released at a later date.
