A juvenile female was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after pulling what appeared to be a handgun on her ex-boyfriend while in a moving car in Sturgeon Bay. Her actions led to injuries when the man jumped out of the vehicle. City police officers were sent to the 200 block of South 18th Avenue at 1AM Monday & quickly determined that the incident started early Sunday morning at a residence off of Tacoma Beach Road. The woman reportedly convinced her “ex” to go for a ride to talk things out. However, while riding in the vehicle, the suspect pulled a black pistol from beneath the drivers seat & pointed it at his head. The former boyfriend asked the woman to allow him to leave the vehicle. Instead, she accelerated & pulled the hammer back on the pistol. At that point, the man opened the passenger door & jumped out of the moving vehicle. When he hit the pavement, the victim sustained injuries to the shoulder, arm & hands. He was treated at a nearby home. After the woman was arrested on multiple charges, officers recovered a black “airsoft” gun from the vehicle, along with other weapons. The investigation is continuing & additional charges are possible.
