The Wisconsin Bike Fed is working with Door County to produce the Door County Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Recreational Facilities plan. An important part of the planning process is public input. Two public meetings will be held to present information for interested parties and solicit input on the plan. The meetings are set for Monday and Tuesday of next week, from 6:30 – 8pm, at the Gibraltar Community Center in Fish Creek and at the Nasewaupee Town Hall. Each meeting will present the same information and participants need only attend one of them. The sessions will follow and “open house” format with a brief presentation at 7pm.
Sarah Gaskell says the focus of the meeting is to introduce participants to the planning process and solicit local knowledge of bicycling and walking issues in Door County…

Gaskell says the plan will recommend increased signage, expanded shoulder areas and more routes for the bicycling public. She says, to some extent, the plan being developed will formalize what has been an informal setup in Door County…
