Wind Blown Signs Damage Vehicles on Highway 42/57

It’s difficult enough traveling on Door County Roads, what with the high level of traffic at times. But, when you have to dodge flying signs, driving safely is even harder. Two drivers found that out along a stretch of Highway 42/57, in the Town of Nasewaupee Saturday afternoon. Luckily, the occupants escaped injury. At about 4:10PM, a 55 year old Green Bay woman was heading north on the highway, in the construction zone, when a sign flew into the front of her vehicle, causing minor damage. Thirteen minutes later, a 60-year old Marinette man encountered a highway sign that damaged a mirror and a window when it collided with his GMC vehicle. In both cases, the drivers said they had no time to avoid the flying signage.
